REGINA KEIZER

˚1979, Baarn The Netherlands

lives and works in Brussels (BE) &  Breil-sur-Roya (FR)

Regina Keizer mainly works with oil paint, spray paint, assemblage and fabrics, on top of that she has the occasional flirt with performance. Her work process revolves around the unguarded moment (chance) and human emotion, it seeks to register a passing of time, movement, lived experience and bodily intelligence. Her paintings live in the world as objects.

Whatever seemingly random shapes, colours or materials she uses, they are merely what they are. Her visual standard involves a search for a new non-aesthetic in an abstract way; beauty not yet defined. Her intellectual base evolves around finding invisible connections

through an investigation and experiment with her profound inner world.

She holds a MA in Visual Arts, specialisation Theatre Costume Design, Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp Belgium.
